Living in Byron, we were lucky enough to experience Pippit at their recent pop-up at The Brooklet. Ben is an incredible chef – the food was truly a culinary journey we’ll never forget. Chloe was an amazing server, guiding us through all the paired wines with such personality and knowledge. A big shoutout as well to Yen, whose clear and thoughtful communication made booking a breeze and really stood out. We can’t wait to visit the restaurant itself. highly recommend!

An amazing meal with incredible service. We loved dining here! The experience was well worth the hype. The art, the local suppliers, the care and the taste exceeded all expectations A couple of notes for future diners- It was a very quiet and calm atmosphere when we went and we were glad we were driving and having a quiet one. We also didn’t realise it was a 3.5-4 hour experience (totally worth it but unexpected when we were thinking we would have an early night. The care and detail that went into the food was next level.)

An amazing dining experience. Such a taste sensation. The sauces tied all of the beautiful fresh local produce together. Just bursting with flavour. We could not fault any of the meals. My favourites were the Oysters with smoked poblano dressing and caviar, and Amberjack tartare with lillypilly vinegar, smoked tomato and nasturtium oil. The Bar cod with spigarello, roasted bone sauce and garlic capers also was divine. All meals were superb. The service was excellent, attentive without being intrusive. Staff were very knowledgeable on all courses. Highly recommend this beautiful restaurant.

What a decadent way to spend a Thursday evening on the northern rivers on a mini break. With fresh surprising local flavours, this feast of bite sized elements touched upon every sense and tickle each tastebud completely, taking me back to growing up in this region with all the flavours. With a menu that is constantly evolving and staff with heart, that no matter the day I am sure whatever is on the menu will be sure to delight and create a magic moment with whomever you share it with. Can’t wait to come back again.

Pipit is gourmet degustation with technical skill centred on local Northern Rivers produce. A great wine list. Tip - put aside 4-5hrs for the experience. Around $200 per head plus tip. Memorable. Hitting way above its weight for Pottsville. Take a large table to ensure plenty of conversation between courses. Not suitable for a first date unless you both work in hospitality. Hopefully a cook book will be in the works. The dessert menu will knock you out.

A truly wonderful, unforgettable dining experience! My mum and I dined twice here in the week leading up to Christmas, once at Pennys Bistro and the other for Pipit. Both the food and service was so special. The fave at Penny’s was definitely the filled tagliatelle with bay lobster. At pipit the amazing range of snacks, and bite sized pieces in each course made for a wonderful night. The fave here were definitely the smoked bonito. The house made bread and butters were perfection on both nights, but the only miss was the smoked celeriac with chickpeas (Penny’s Bistro). We ate it but felt it was lacking flavour and depth in comparison to all the other delicious courses. The final comment to make was the attention to detail with the service. Both the chefs and front of house staff presented the food beautifully and were extremely knowledgeable about what they were serving. We definitely dined on a very busy night so it did take longer than expected, however it was delicious so we didn’t mind. Can’t wait to be back!

We celebrated our anniversary at the restaurant yesterday and opted for the set menu. We truly enjoyed the sequence of dishes, and my personal favorite was definitely the fish, so good that I forgot to take a picture. We had the pleasure of sitting at the counter facing the kitchen, where we could watch the chefs in action — an experience that made the evening even more special. The chefs also took the time to explain each dish, which added a personal and engaging touch. I was especially delighted to see two talented female chefs working in perfect harmony. Their professionalism, precision, and teamwork were truly inspiring. Despite the restaurant being full, the service was impeccable. Andrea, who looked after us, explained the entire menu with great detail and was always attentive. By the end of the menu, I was quite full and mentioned that I might skip one of the desserts. Without hesitation, they kindly packed it for me to enjoy at home, allowing me to continue the experience later. I truly appreciated this thoughtful gesture. Thank you for such a wonderful and memorable experience!

Absolutely amazing night enjoying the 6 course menu with every possible add on . Hard to choose a favorite as each round gave us a new and exciting experience and left us in wonder. As someone who likes to eat and a little opinionated (allegedly) I can not fault this establishment. Flexibly adapting to various diet requirements without a problem. We really enjoyed how we got to meet all staff throughout the evening, as each chef or staff member spoke to us about different dishes and techniques. Honestly our biggest worry is that for the price they charge and the level of execution, quality of produce is that they won’t make enough money to stay there. If they were in a big city they like be booked out for months in advance. Food, cocktails and wine. All fantastic!
